I think they're hoping for something better. Hytale will not be better than Minecraft let me tell you why.

I don't think Hypixel Studios's owners are looking for that result. An overall progress update flaunts some of Hytales new biomes, including a lovely autumnal forest and vibrant desert oases. The development update details how theyve had to adapt to meet the level of expectation. If they rush out a game 80% good as Minecraft, Minecraft players will stay in Minecraft. I think that if they dont release it soon its because its actually veeeery far from Beta. Built by the team behind the custom Minecraft server Hypixel, Hytale combines the open sandbox elements of world building with an immersive RPG experience complete with dungeons, challenging bosses, and character progression. Hytale Vault is the home for modding and creative content. If I were the Minecraft developers, I'd be watching closely and implementing major updates that mirror what Hytale has only planned. The thing is their main competition is Minecraft. Mainly when it involved things that have me thinking " This will end poorly", it just wears on you being right about those things, and also being helpless to do anything about it.
